SolAgent

Pan-Solanaceae Multi-Omics & AI Agent Platform

Solanaceae crops β€” tomato, pepper, eggplant, and potato

About the Platform

SolAgent is a standalone multi-omics and AI-agent platform for the Solanaceae family, integrating reference genomes, gene annotations, protein structures, homology, functional domains (Pfam), GO annotations, and a literature knowledge base for four core species: Solanum lycopersicum (tomato), Nicotiana benthamiana (tobacco), Capsicum annuum (pepper), and Solanum melongena (eggplant).

The platform pairs a natural-language research agent with searchable genome, protein, and literature modules, enabling rapid gene-level exploration, cross-species orthology, and evidence-grounded literature synthesis.

A built-in AI assistant understands domain questions in plain language β€” from "summarize the expression profile of Solyc00g160260" to "which tomato genes respond to drought stress?" β€” and answers by querying the underlying databases directly, so results are traceable to curated data rather than free-form model output.

All modules are free for non-commercial academic research. Data, code, and services are maintained by the Beijing Vegetable Research Center (BVRC), Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences (BAAFS).
